INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 lbs beef sirloin fat removed, cut into 1/2 cubes
4 tbs thick coconut milk
1 tbs grated lemon zest
1 tbs brown sugar
2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp sambal ulek
1 pinch of salt
12 skewers

DIRECTIONS:
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients except the beef;
Roll the beef cubes in the seasonings; let stand for one hour,
turning every 15 minutes.
Soak the wooden skewers in water so that they will not burn;
thread 4-5 cubes of beef onto each stick.
Place the skewers onto a barbecue grill or under the broiler; cook
for 3 minutes;
turn and continue cooking for another 3 minutes; check doneness -
cook for another 1-2 minutes if necessary.
