"Humus is another simple yet tasty
dish, good as a dip for vegetables or pita, or as an addition to
your salad plate.
It is also a very good alternative to mayonnaise when eaten with
potatoes, or as a sandwich spread."

INGREDIENTS:
2 cps Cooked; cold chick peas
5 tbs Tahini
3 lemons juice of
3 cloves garlic pressed
3 tbs olive oil
5 -6 chopped black olives or 1 tbs olive paste
3 tbs plain yogurt- optional

|
DIRECTIONS:
In a food processor combine all of the ingredients, except the
yogurt and puree until smooth, at least 2 minutes.
If the mixture is too thick, add some more olive oil. For a
lighter version, add the yogurt and give it a final burst, but
only for 30 seconds or so.
Humus is great as a dip for raw vegetables, as a substitute for
mayonnaise on potatoes as well as spread on crackers or toast.
